Passing the test of time

In 1982 Mark Weihe opened Selecta Systems in the UK, distributing window and door profiles to an emerging PVC-U industry.   Selecta focused on new start-ups and smaller fabricators, providing expert support and advice, training and machinery packages.

In 1995 Selecta relocated to Great Barr and introduced it's first extrusion line, launching it's first 60mm window and door suite exclusively for the UK. In the years that followed the window and conservatory market evolved, with larger fabricators, improved products and new systems companies entering the market.

However, many of these competitors have come and gone; others have changed hands many times.  Throughout that time Selecta has remained independent; a private family business that has grown steadily for over 25 years.

25 years on.....

Today, Selecta Systems has evolved into one of the UK's leading PVC-U systems companies, with world-class German engineered products that lead the market, and a network of over 450 fabricators.

Operating from a nine acre company-owned site in Birmingham, Selecta has continued to invest, more recently some £3 million in a brand new mixing plant, new trucks and product development - including the new Selecta composite door.

For over 25 years Selecta has remained under the same ownership, and has continued to invest and grow, remaining true to its German philosophy of superb engineering, innovation, and outstanding customer service.
