Outraged fabricators turn to Selecta to avoid price hikes
It’s been a tough enough year for many fabricators, but for some 2010 already looks
bleak with news that some systems companies are forcing through hefty price rises. The
news comes as a blow to company bosses still reeling from rising energy costs and glass
price hikes.
ut one systems company, Selecta, is refusing to pass on rising PVC-U costs. Sales
director Mark Richmond explains; “We know how difficult the market is right now and
the last thing companies need is more pressure on margins. Selecta has been trading
successfully for 26 years and is here for the long-term, so we took the decision to absorb
the current increases to give our customers the best possible chance of success. It seems
some fabricators are having enough of price increases as our phone has been red hot with
enquires.”
Selecta has been in the same private ownership since its inception, but the extruder has
evolved in recent years with over £3m investment at the company’s 9 acre site and the
launch of Advance 70, the new lead-free 5 chamber 70mm system. Mark continues;
“Advance 70 is designed for the current market where quality, energy efficiency and
environmental issues are as important as ease of fabrication and kerb-appeal. Once a
fabricator takes a serious look at the system and what Selecta has to offer they soon
realise why 118 companies switched to Selecta in the last year.
“We encourage any company recently stung with a profile price increase to contact us.
Our all-new Demo Truck is now available so fabricators can see the full range of Selecta
products, including our bi-fold door solution, patio kits, composite doors and SelectaFoil,
the coloured foil range now available from stock.”
